eCat version 2021.3 is now available

This version of eCat introduces a sales rank sorting capability that delivers powerful insights when used in combination with other eCat features.

Catalog sorting by territory sales rank

If your company sends summary sales data to the iPad to support the 'Customer Favorites' and other sales intelligence features, eCat now automatically creates an option to sort the catalog by monetary sales rank. This is done every time sales data is uploaded. So the sales rankings automatically stay completely up-to-date.

Here's how to sort by sales rank, along with a few ideas on how to use it.

Sorting by Sales Rank

  • tap the Settings gear in Catalog View
  • tap 'Sort Products' (if a 'Territory Sales' button displays, the new feature is available to you)
  • tap 'Territory Sales' once to sort the catalog in descending sequence (arrow pointing down, greatest to least sales)
  • tap 'Territory Sales' again to sort the catalog in ascending sales sequence (arrow pointing up, least to greatest sales)

Sales rank catalog sorting is based on sales for all customers sent to the iPad. So product sales rank sorting for a sales representative who sees only customers for a specific territory will reflect the product sales ranking and regional product preferences for that territory. A company executive who sees all customers on the iPad will see the catalog sorted by total company sales ranking. Note that for security reasons unit and dollar territory sales are not automatically displayed in the catalog. Only the catalog sort sequence is affected.
