Summary #
Use Commitments and Interests to capture customer interest in products when they're not ready to place an order. This is especially useful at trade shows or sales meetings where customers express interest but aren't ordering on the spot.
Sales reps can easily follow up later by emailing the list to customers, creating PDF presentations, or converting commitments into actual orders.
Key Concepts #
- Commitment: A customer's firm commitment to purchase a specific quantity of a product
- Interest: A customer's general interest in a product without a firm commitment to purchase
- Market Code: A identifier that links products to a specific market or event (like "Spring2024" or "TradeShow2024")
Before You Begin #
- Feature must be enabled for your organization (contact SuperCat support)
- Products need a market code assigned to appear for selection
- Your organization needs a matching market code set in Admin Console
