Customer 'Favorites' #

Based on sales history provided by your company from all sources (not just eCat), items recently invoiced to the customer are sorted to show the customer's best selling ('Favorite') items at the top. This makes it easier to build business and provide a higher level of service to customers by recommending selections they are most likely to sell well.

The 'Customer Favorites' list enables you to...

  • quickly profile the types of products a customer prefers or sells best (great tool for new reps!)
  • see what a customer currently has on order and when it will ship
  • check to see top selling items a customer has sold out of so you can propose re-orders
  • cross-sell similar and related items or items from the same family/collection
  • audit what a customer has on display and re-order sold display samples

In addition, a 'Show Customer Sales' option in the Settings menu can be turned on to show customer sales under product thumbnails everywhere in the main catalog. For example, this feature could be used to see which of the items in a 'Best Sellers' SmartList a customer has and has not purchased, to quickly see how items a customer has on display are selling, or view sales for items a customer has made commitments to purchase.

While viewing Favorites you can do the following.

  • Use the Tradename filter in Settings to show/hide Favorites by tradename
  • Tap a thumbnail photo to view details, then tap Collections or Related items to see other items the customer might be interested in.
  • Tap the Actions icon (box with arrow) to create an email or PDF catalog of top selling items that have sold out and are not on order.
  • Quickly write orders for items in the favorites list

* Favorites are ranked based on total dollars invoiced. If invoice totals are not sent in the sales history data file, rankings are based on quantity invoiced multiplied by the current item price. The Favorites list sort sequence cannot be changed.

Emailing Customer Favorites #

It's easy to email sales quantities and numbers from the Favorites view along with product photos and information as follows.

eCat will create an email showing the sales report date range and the quantity and monetary amount of each item invoiced to the customer during that range. If items are selected in the order shown in the Favorites list (use 'Select All') the customer's best selling items will be at the top of the list.

Note:

  • Sales numbers are hidden while selecting items to email, but they will still be displayed in the email.
  • Sales numbers will not display in the email if items are selected while viewing lists other than the Favorites list.

On Order #

Displays items the customer currently has on order with the order backlog quantities. The estimated delivery date is shown if provided. This list is shown in eCat's default sort sequence, but can be re-sorted by selecting a different sort sequence in Settings (gear icon).

The estimated delivery date is shown with each item if your company sends this information to eCat.

Sales Data On Order 2

On Display #

If your company supports this feature, the 'On Display' list shows a list of items a customer should have on display in their showroom. These are usually items that have been provided at a discount for display purposes. This can be used to quickly identify and reorder items that have been sold off display.

SmartPicks #

'SmartPicks' make it easy for sales teams to discover and recommend items that may appeal to and sell well for specific customers. eCat makes it easy to quickly share and write orders for SmartPicks selections.

How SmartPicks Work #

Select a customer in eCat then tap the 'SmartPicks' button to show an automatically generated list of top selling items the selected customer has not purchased recently (within the sales_data.csv time frame). Your company may display item sales quantities and dollars, availability and other information be displayed with each item. Since the 'top sellers' are specific to the customer list on the iPad, they represent only items that sell best for the user's customers/territory. This may reflect regional product preferences for some types of products.

Items are recommended based on territory sales ranking and the customer's purchase history. The recommendations include only items the customer has not recently purchased. The top ten best selling items in the eCat user's territory (customer list) from each of the currently selected customer's top selling categories are shown, followed by other top selling items in the territory.

For example, if the customer's top category is 'Chandeliers', the top ten chandeliers the customer has not recently purchased will be listed first. If the customer's second best category is 'Landscape Art', the top ten selling items in that category will be shown next. After listing the 'top-10' for the selected customer's top categories, additional top sellers in the territory are shown, up to 100 total items.

Under each SmartPicks photo, eCat displays the total unit and dollar sales for the item in the territory. (The totals for the user's customer list.) This makes it easier for users to prioritize which items to recommend to the customer.

Use SmartPicks to quickly generate a list of top selling items to present to a specific customer.

SmartPicks recommends items based on a specific customer's purchase history. The top ten best selling items in the territory (the customer list on the iPad) from each of the customer's top selling categories are listed, followed by other top selling items in the territory. The recommendations include only items the customer has not purchased within the sales history time frame.

For example, if a customer's top category is chandeliers, the top ten chandeliers in the customer's territory will be listed first. If the customer's second best category is mirrors, the top ten mirrors in the territory will be shown next. Up to 100 items will be listed in the favorites list.

eCat displays the total territory unit and dollar sales for the item under each SmartPicks photo. This makes it easier to prioritize which items to recommend to the customer.
