Get your iPad #

eCat works great on the least expensive 'base model' version of the most recently introduced iPad. That's all most people need. The current base model 10.2" 'WiFi only' iPad with 32GB storage retails for $329 and can often be purchased for under $300 on sale or with a gift card promo. Only get a model with more memory if you need it for other purposes or if you have more than 5-6 companies in eCat. Unless you want a larger screen, need more storage and speed for gaming or personal use, or just want the 'biggest and best', it's not necessary to spend more than that on an iPad for use with eCat.

We do not recommend using iPads introduced more than 3-4 years ago. These are typically not fast enough to provide the best experience. So if you have an old iPad that's no longer supported by Apple, we strongly recommend upgrading to the newest model.

Install eCat #

eCat is distributed as a free application in 'Apple's App Store'. If you're familiar with installing apps on your iPad, simply search for 'eCat: Sales Rep' in the App Store and install it.

Make sure there is a working email account set up in your iPad's Mail app. This is required. eCat does not use third party apps like Outlook to send product and order emails. For more information on setting up email on your iPad, please click here.

Connect your iPad to the Internet via WiFi, sign in to eCat with the credentials provided by your company's eCat administrator, and wait for your company's data and photos to download. eCat will then be ready to use!
