Overview #
Export product data from eCat. Then use Avery Design & Print Online to create custom showroom labels to your specifications. Include QR Codes or 1D barcodes to enable order scanning. Labels can be printed, downloaded in PDF format, or ordered from Avery’s “We Print” service. <<Note! This tool does not support printing product photos on tags.>>
Exporting Tag Data from eCat #
- In the admin portal 'Catalogs' page, create a CSV style format containing all the fields to be printed on the showroom tags. Assign it a name like 'Tag Data'.
- In eCat save the products for which you need tags to a list. Then use the 'Tag Data' catalog format to export the product data to a CSV file.
- Save the tag data CSV file on the computer you will use to create the tags.

Creating Custom Showroom Labels #
- Head to https://www.Avery.com/software/design-and-print/ and select start designing
- Browse through the many template options until a satisfactory template is found. (This example is using the Avery 5263 Shipping labels)
- Once a template is selected again browse through the various designs and select one (Bank designs are available)
Text Additions
- For Text additions to the label select the text tab on the left of the window and choose to “Add Text Box”. Once added the text box can be resized and moved to anywhere within the label

Importing Pictures
- For addition of an image again on the left select the image tab and choose to “Add Image”

Once done select “Browse for File” and find the picture you wish to use after picking the image click the “open” button in the bottom right of the pop-up window (IMAGES CANNOT BE MAIL MERGED)
Any image added to the label will be added to every label created

Mail Merging
- To mail merge data onto the labels select the option to Import Data/Mail Merge from the tabs on the left and choose to “Start Import/Merge”

After choosing “Start Import/Merge” a pop-up will open choose to “browse for file” and find the CSV or Excel document you wish to use. Once done select open. Step 2 asks if the first row of the data sheet are column titles if they are in your selected document uncheck the box highlighted in yellow. Click next once done with step 2.

After choosing “Start Import/Merge” a pop-up will open choose to “browse for file” and find the CVS or Excel document you wish to use. Once done select open. Next design how you want the merged data to appear on the label by dragging the available fields on the left into the box on the right. You can also type in the back to add labels to the imported data. (Data imported will be highlighted in yellow

After arranging everything select Finish and the data will be added to a new text box and placed on the label (If you added a text box prior to this step for this exact information then deleted the text box you added otherwise leave any text box you created alone)
You can resize and change the font / bold the new mail merged

Adding Barcode and QR Codes #
- To add a QR Code or Barcode choose the more option from the tabs on the left and the choose “QR and Barcodes”. Once done select the option to “Add Barcode or QR Code

Create multiple barcodes or QR Codes with Mail Merge #
Once selecting to enter data with a spreadsheet or CVS file and clicking next choose what format you would like to use and what you want the QR Code to point to. Once done on the left choose from the merge options added earlier, drag and drop the field you wish to merge into a BarCode or QR code into the text box. (MAKE SURE THE DATA FROM THE FIELD IS THE SAME TYPE AS WHAT YOU SELECT AS THE CODE TYPE | Text is alphanumerical)

Once you have inserted and filled out each field click finish in the bottom right and arrange the BarCode / QR Code as if its a picture.
Saving / Printing the labels as a PDF
- To save the custom labels to your computer select the Preview & Print Option at the top of the screen and choose “Print it Yourself” and then “Print Now” a pop-up will appear with the option to Download the PDF choose that option and click ok/save on the new pop-up
