Adding scanned items to lists #
While scanning items for trade show ordering it's often useful to add scanned items to lists instead of immediately adding them to orders. eCat makes it easy for users to create or select a list then add a scanned item to the list with a single button tap for later followup. This includes both general purpose MyLists and lists specifically for the currently selected customer. There are many ways to use this feature.
- Add scanned items to the customer's 'Maybe List' for later follow up
- Track items the customer likes, but is not ready to order
- Keep lists of items being ordered for multiple stores and convert them to orders later.
- Save lists of items to move to better showroom locations, or to remove from the showroom
- You'll think of many ways to use this feature!
Using the add-to-list button on the scanning pane #
- Using either the iPad camera or separate device, scan the barcode.
- Add item to the list name on the button with a single tap.
- Tap the up arrow at the right of the button to create a new My List or Customer List or select from the list you've created to associate a different list with the button.
- The add-to-list button works in the standard scanning pane and in the related items list when scan groups are implemented.
- Note that this feature is not supported when scanning kits and configurable items.
