Summary #
The detailed feature usage report shows the number of times each of your team members has used key eCat features during a specific time frame. This data can be used to identify areas where additional user training might be helpful.
It can also be used as a benchmark for measuring future improvement. Consider setting targets for usage of key features by each user, eg. ’20 product emails/week’, ’15 PDF catalogs/week’, etc.

The report is created by SuperCat Solutions upon request. Just let us know the date range you want to study. Usage data is sent in CSV format so it can be easily manipulated in a spreadsheet. There is one row for each user in your organization that has any activity during the reporting period, and a column for each activity measured. Following are definitions of the activities as labeled by our analytics tool.
Search #
product_search - number of times user searched for items using the quick/grid view search feature. This is by far the most frequently used eCat feature and a good measure of how frequently/effectively eCat is being used.
collection_search - number of times user searched for collection by name
customer_search - number of times user searched for a customer
filter_button_pressed - number of times user tapped ‘Filters’ button
Save #
create_list - number of times user created and saved a MyList or Customer List
create_user_list - number of times user created a MyList
edit_list - number of times user edited a MyList
view_list - number of times user viewed a MyList or Customer List
create_customer_list - number of times user created a Customer List
create_maybe_list - number of new Maybe Lists started by user

item_email_drafted - number of times user selected products and generated an HTML product email.
pdf_catalog_generated - The number of times a user selected products and generated a PDF catalog for emailing, printing, etc.
pdf_catalog_started - number of unique PDF catalogs user has started. (Some of these may not yet have been ‘generated’.
view_document -The number of times a user viewed a Library document.
document_email_drafted - The number of times a user selected Library entries and generated an email.
multiselect_document_email_drafted - number of times user emailed multiple Library entries in one email.
csv_catalog_generated - number of times user selected products and generated a CSV data file. This can be used for sharing product data with customers, creating worksheets for product analysis, etc.
Serve #
view_customer_on_order_items - The number of times a user has tapped the ‘On Order’ button in the customer info panel to view items the customer currently has on backorder.
view_customer_orders - The number of times a user tapped the ‘Orders’ button in the customer panel to view orders created on iPad. This is useful for suspending/resuming work on orders & quotes.
view_portal - The number of times user tapped the portal button to view the sales portal.
Sell #
order_submitted - The number of times a user tapped 'Submit Order' to send an order to the server and generate the order email.
view_customer_smart_picks - The number of times a user tapped the ‘Smart Picks’ button in the customer panel to show a list of territory top sellers that may be attractive to the customer based on the customer’s past purchase history.
view_favorites - The number of times a user tapped ‘Invoices/Favorites’ button in Customer panel to view a ranked listing of items purchased. This feature is useful for profiling a customer’s product preferences generating replenishment orders, and cross selling.
add_to_order_from_maybe_list - number of times user added Maybe List items to an order
add_kit_to_order - number of times user selected a kit and added items from the kit to an order.
view_kit - number of times user selected a kit and viewed the kit components
